01 — The ask

Make AI-generated training feel professional, polished, and on par with traditional video.

Winthorpe is building an AI-based learning platform that can help life sciences companies create ophthalmology training content faster and more efficiently than traditional custom video production. The core model relies on AI-supported scripting, voiceover, and narration – but the value of the final training experience depends heavily on the quality of the visual layer.

Steadfast would support the platform by shaping the visual system for the videos and creating refined slide layouts, callouts, graphics, and medical illustrations – focused on the moments the client flags for uplift – so the content is easier to follow, more credible, and as polished and trusted as traditionally produced video.

What this proposal optimizes for

  • AI accelerates the base video – scripting, voiceover, and narration are generated on-platform.
  • Steadfast adds the credibility layer – structure, hierarchy, scientific design, and illustration polish.
  • The model is repeatable – so cost per video is easy to estimate as the library grows.

02 — The model

A repeatable production system, not one-off video builds.

The engagement is structured in two layers: a one-time visual foundation, then a predictable per-video production cost. This keeps quality consistent and makes budgeting straightforward as the number of videos grows.

Initial visual system setup

One-time before individual video production begins

Based on client's direction, and input, Steadfast will solidfy a visual system that can be used to produce this and future videos.

Internal Deliverables

  • Visual system direction
  • Typography & Colors
  • Slide layout / template system
  • Title, section, callout & content slide style direction
  • Medical illustration style direction (if applies)
  • Icon & graphic treatment direction (if applies)
  • Example slides demonstrating the system

Per-video production model

Repeatable per 8–10 minute training video

Each video assumes the client provides a developed, final script before Steadfast begins. Steadfast is not responsible for script development in the base model – this keeps production lean and avoids unnecessary cost.

Base assumption per video

  • 8–10 minute video, client-provided script
  • Client flags where specific graphics should be uplifted
  • Steadfast builds a slide / graphic plan from those flagged moments
  • 8–12 refined slides or visuals designed
  • Medical graphics / illustrations created or refined as needed

Per-video workflow

From script handoff to a video-ready visual package.

Client responsibility Steadfast responsibility
1

Script handoff from client

Client responsibility

Client provides a developed, final script, including the training objective, intended audience, key scientific points, and any required claims, references, or approved language – and flags where specific graphics should be uplifted.

  • Developed, final script
  • Client flags moments for graphic / illustration uplift
  • Scientific references / source material
  • Product, disease-state, or compliance constraints
  • Review and approval from internal stakeholders
2

Storyboarding / visual planning

Scientific writer / content strategist

Using the moments the client has flagged for graphic uplift, Steadfast builds the visual plan – including on-screen text, graphics, medical illustrations, and callouts.

  • Review of script / scientific narrative
  • Visual plan based on client-flagged uplift moments
  • Refined text for slides & on-screen callouts
  • Rough visual plan or slide-form storyboard
  • Recommendations for graphics & illustration
  • Hand-off notes for designer / illustrator · 1–2 feedback rounds
3

Slide & graphics creation

Designer · scientific illustrator (as needed)

Create the actual slide and visual assets that pair with the AI-generated voiceover and video narrative.

  • 8–12 slides or visuals per video
  • Layout & formatting of text slides into the visual template
  • Refined callouts and key-message slides
  • Custom or adapted medical illustrations, where needed
  • Integration of refined stock or provided visuals where appropriate
  • Export-ready visual assets for the AI video platform
4

Integration with the final AI video

Steadfast responsibility

A Steadfast video editor combines the refined visuals with the AI-generated video and avatar into the final training piece.

  • Merge designed slides, graphics, and illustrations into the final AI video
  • Sequence and place visuals to match the voiceover and narrative
  • Export the completed video-ready package
Optional add-on

Animation

Scientific animator / motion designer

A lighter 2D animation layer that brings static illustrations or slide visuals to life – not full 3D mechanism-of-action animation. Recommended only once the static model is validated or when a specific video needs greater visual emphasis.

  • 4–6 light animation moments per video
  • Motion applied to selected graphics, callouts, or simplified sequences
  • First-cut review · up to 2 rounds of revisions
  • Final export-ready animation assets

Priced separately – see budget.

05 — Budget

Clear, repeatable pricing.

A one-time visual system setup, then a standard per-video production cost. Per-video pricing is repeatable, so spend is easy to project as the library grows.

One-time visual system setup

A fixed, one-time fee to build the visual system – typography, colour, slide templates, callouts, and illustration style – so every video starts from a finished foundation. Applies once, before any videos.

$3,000fixed

Per-video pricing

Standard model

Repeatable production cost per video – visual planning from client-flagged moments, slide & graphics creation, and final AI video integration. Paid in full.

$12,000–$14,000per video
Getting started

The one-time setup plus your first standard video. The same per-video price then applies to each additional video.

Stock assets, where appropriate. To manage budget and timeline, some visuals may start from licensed stock – eye imagery, 3D anatomical models, or other base graphics – with custom elements and keys added on top. Any stock asset over $50 per asset is quoted and approved before use.

06 — Efficiency levers

Ways to keep the model lean.

  • Client provides input and direction for the visual system
  • Client provides developed scripts before Steadfast begins
  • Client flags where specific graphics should be uplifted
  • Focus stays on polished slide / graphic support and medical illustration at those flagged moments
  • A reusable visual template reduces design lift across future videos
  • Similar video types are batched for efficiency
  • Client consolidates internal feedback before sending revisions
  • Steadfast avoids full video editing, platform management, or script development unless separately scoped
  • Medical illustrations prioritized at client-flagged moments – not added everywhere by default

07 — Assumptions + boundaries

Clear scope keeps the model predictable.

Assumptions

  • Client provides developed scripts / close-to-final scientific narratives
  • Client flags where specific graphics should be uplifted
  • Client provides scientific references & required source material
  • Client manages AI video generation & voiceover; Steadfast handles final visual integration
  • Client owns medical, legal, regulatory & internal approval
  • Base pricing assumes 8–10 minute videos
  • Base pricing assumes 8–12 slides or visuals
  • Base pricing includes static graphics & slide visuals only
  • Two review rounds included unless otherwise specified
  • Additional rounds, major content changes, or rewrites may require added scope

Exclusions — unless separately scoped

  • Full scriptwriting
  • Full medical / legal / regulatory review
  • Full video editing
  • AI platform operation or implementation
  • Voiceover generation
  • 2D animation / motion design
  • 3D mechanism-of-action animation
  • Brand development for individual life sciences customers
  • Custom templates for each end customer
  • More than two rounds of revisions
  • Rush production without a separate rush agreement

08 — Recommended next step

Start with the setup and one standard video.

This gives Winthorpe a polished visual foundation, a realistic production timeline, and a clear cost-per-video structure before scaling into a larger library.

  1. Confirm scope and final pricing
  2. Confirm the first video topic and script readiness
  3. Develop the initial visual system
  4. Produce the first video visual package
  5. Review production timing, cost & scalability before expanding
